This week was the battle of the dueling music videos, which had both Kanye West and Chairlift using pixel morphing technology in their latest clips. Chairlift released the video for “Evident Utensil” last week, directed by Ray Tinori. Kanye West is planning on releasing “Amazing” as his next single but rushed out the Nabil-directed clip for “Welcome to Heartbreak “ early, after finding out about the Chairlift clip. Both videos are visually stimulating– take a look at Kanye’s and Chairlifts and vote on which one you like better.

The obsession for the week is Natasha Khan’s Bat For Lashes. I fell in love with her last album Fur and Gold, like many did. She will release the follow up Two Suns on April 6th in the US. The album has a running theme of duality and features high-profile collaborations with Scott Walker and Yeasayer. She has lined up a brief east coast tour with more tour dates to be announced soon.
