Revolve Clothing is having a huge sale starting Friday at 9am. I’ve also heard that with any purchase, you get $100 off coupon that’s good for any $200 purchase at REVOLVEclothing.com.
This news should make a lot of people happy. No Doubt will make their return in 2009 with a new album and a world tour. They have already announced that they will be headlining day two of the Bamboozle Festival on May 3rd, 2009. Tickets are currently on sale, and this is a sure sell out.
No Doubt haven’t released any new albums since 2001, and their last tour was in 2004 for the greatest hits album. I’m actually pretty excited about this, and if the rumors are true, expect them to headline Coachella in Indio this April.

Beach House have released a new video for “Used to Be.” This is their new single, which was only released on 7-inch vinyl. The gorgeously shot video is directed by Matt Amato. In other Beach House, news they will embark on another US tour of the west coast early next year with The Walkmen. Those dates are after the cut.
Having once been a precocious kid myself, I have fallen hard for Tavi, the 12-year old creator of the fashion blog Style Rookie. Self-described with this sentence: “I like origami, Macaulay Culkin, breakfast, pointy hats, good grammar, and winter frost,” Tavi seems almost too good to be true–not merely precocious but an actual virtuoso. I wouldn’t be surprised if this were the work of some performance artist.
Either way, I hear she’s an internet sensation, a totally deserved designation. If you haven’t seen it before, check it out.
Los Angeles-based writer / artist Dallas Clayton is set to unleash his debut work onto the masses. An Awesome Book, which by all accounts is a children’s book but would easily be a nice addition to your coffee table, is a whimsical story about dreaming big. The book features full-colored illustrations of unicorn, watermelon boats, dancing animals with wings and more.
About the book, Dallas says, “This is the first book I ever made. I think it is pretty important and special. It’s for kids but also for adults and has caused 8 out of 20 readers to cry…”
To celebrate the book’s release there will be a book launch and reading this Saturday night with performances by Blackblack and AsDSSKa. If you can’t make it, you can purchase the book online.
Some pictures from the book after the cut.
