It’s  suede, which makes it kind of cold-weathery, but then it’s bright blue, which is kind of summery.  The result?  Perfect transitional shoe.   I like the simple rounded point, and the visual interest of the cut out.  Very nice, and on sale at JCrew for $69.99.

The other day, this girl I know was saying she wished she could find some fancy jellies (shoes not food) and then Saturday, I saw these Jelly Flats from J.Crew. Personally, I think I’d wait until they went down from their $45 asking price, but do what you want.

They also have red, green and black.

Catholic School Killed Plaid for ME

If you went to Catholic school, then you know how weird it is when you see your plaid uniform pattern on a skirt in a store. This happened to me when I was looking at the JCrew site today. I can’t believe anyone would pay for this skirt–I had to wear it for 6 years, although mine was pleated and paired with red windbreaker with “St. Linus” emblazoned on the back. Shiver.

Waiting for the Sale: JCrew Goosedown Puffer Jacket

There are certain stores where I rarely pay full-price (or FOOL price), and JCrew is one of them. Something has to be really spectacular for me to even consider it because most of that cute overpriced stuff eventually goes on sale, anyway.

Right now I’m obsessing over this goosedown puffer, despite the fact that I live in California . I love everything about this little dude–yellow and a cinched waist, am I dreaming? Right now it’s $158, but I bet it will go down to $99 eventually.

I’ll say a rosary.
