Lady Gaga has just released her mini movie video clip for her next single “Paparazzi.” The nearly 8 minute long video was directed by Jonas Äkerlund (Madonna, Prodigy) and features a muderous plot line that leaves you with a big smirk on your face.
Lady Gaga is fast becoming a fashion trendsetting diva, and it shows big time in this video. The costumes- some of which Gaga designs herself push the envelope and are anything but boring. Even if you dont like Lady Gaga, who currently graces the cover
of Rollingstone, the video is still a must watch.

The film pick of the week is Valentino: The Last Emperor. This is a documentary based upon the legendary Valentino Garavani head of the couture label. The film deals with his final couture show and his fifty year relationship with his business partner.
Like the poster suggests, it offers a glimpse at the man behind the curtain. The film made the festival rounds and is now playing in New York City. It will expand to Los Angeles and San Francisco this week.

Hey, you lucky guys, check out the Raf Simons x Fred Perry Spring/Summer 2009 collection. It looks like color for next season is veering away from the ultra-brights that were all the rage last year, but as you can see here, color still has punch. And my goodness, orange will not die. Love the loose knits.

Over the weekend Threadtrend attended the launch party for the Tea Leaf Company, and LA’s fashionably clued in were in attendance. Tea Leaf Company is a new menswear line ushering in the beginning of a new decade, a new breed.
The show featured fitted trousers, oxford styled button downs, coats all with clean lines and distinctive features. Keep a look out for this up and coming line.

I can’t stop looking at the Sophomore Fall 08 lookbook. This line is a major expansion from last season, which was all tees and totes. I’m way into the details, the colors and the laid back design. Kind of an effortless look but still put together. What more can you ask for?
Check out some of the highlights:
Normally, I’m against message tees, but who can hate an Outsiders (/Robert Frost) reference? Not me.
