Yesterday, I had the pleasure of helping out at the Love Birds photo shoot. This LA-based accessory line is a Threadtrend favorite, so I was really thrilled to help brand founder Loren Rochelle style the shoot. We were blessed with great clothes, magical light and gorgeous models. The new Love Birds site will be up soon, so you’ll get to see Loren’s vision come to life plus all her new pieces, which are nothing short of amazing . We’ll keep you posted.
Get your hands on what’s left of Loren’s current stock on her Etsy site.
I’m pretty excited about this Anna Sui for Target news. I’ve always loved Sui, and I think her intricate patters will translate well to a lower price point–you know they’ll still work even in the form of lower quality. I’m a little concerned that her inspiration for her upcoming Go International line will be inspired by Gossip Girl, but maybe I’m just being anti. I guess it’s less disconcerting than Alexander Wang doing khaki for Gap, right?
The line premieres September 13.

Looks like Alexander Wang has been tapped by the GAP for their latest collaboration. Refinery 29 says it’s going to be khaki based, which kind of scares me and much as it scares them, but I’m going to give him a well-deserved benefit of the doubt.
The fledgling mall staple is no stranger to designer partnerships–they’ve done those white shirt collaborations with Phillip Lim, Band of Outsiders, Threeasfour and others, if you remember. I hope this one actually produces something that I want to pay money for.
According to Gap Creative Director, Patrick Robinson, Wang created an “incredible motorcycle jacket.” But is that a khaki motorcycle jacket? I’m confused but not without hope.

Wow, this Beth Ditto doll has the best makeup job I’ve ever seen, and the thighs aren’t bad either. The doll was commissioned by Evans, the clothing company that is set to release a Ditto-designed fashion line in July. Unfortunately, Superdoll Collectables London only made one.
The plastic ditto will appear in ads for the collection, and that purple sequined dress will presumably be part of it.

Henry Holland for Topman
The latest entry in Topman‘s make-this-normal-thing-into-something-spectacular series is the White T-Shirt Project. The designers who were tagged to take part are exactly who you’d expect (and I mean that in a good way): Henry Holland, Phillip Lim, Richard Chai, Christopher Shannon, Juun J, and JW Anderson.
The shirts will available at flagship stores in London and New York as well as online.
