Bust Magazine Turns 15: Still Feminist after All these Years.

This year Bust Magazine celebrates its 15th birthday. Yay! You have to love a women’s magazine that’s not afraid to use the word “feminist” in this day and age. And even after all this time, Bust keeps it real, promoting women-owned independent businesses along side interesting celebrity interviews, fashion shoots with realistically-sized models, and a pleasing deficit of diet articles.

Bust started out as a DIY zine created by Debbie Stoller and Laurie Henzel, who were working for Viacom at the time.  They wanted to create an outspoken publication for women with a positive vibe.  I’d say they’ve succeeded.  Long live Bust!

Check out the pics from this week’s celebration in NYC on the Bust site.  Amy Sedaris was the MC for the event, and Morningwood headlined the show.
