ViKtor & Rolf Dress Dolls

I heard about this a couple of weeks ago, but now that I’ve seen it, I guess I have to believe it. Dutch designers Viktor & Rolf have decided to dress 55 dolls in their designs for an upcoming retrospective of their work, called “The House of Viktor & Rolf” at Barbican Art Gallery in London.

The dolls will be, well, all dolled up with full faces of makeup and coiffed hair to match the original runway look from the past 15 years.  It’s an odd choice, but not for Viktor & Rolf, who have a reputation for experimental fashion shows, including one called “Black Hole,” which included not only an all-black collection but also models painted in black.

Leave it to V&R.
