The latest print ads for Converse features a bevy of hot up-and-coming Indie-centric acts. From Eleanor Friedberger (Fiery Furnaces) to Bradford Cox (Atlas Sound & Deerhunter) and the everywhere “it girl” of the moment, Santogold.

It’s nothing new for rock stars to be used in ads, but it seems like Indie is now the go-to musical genre to sell things. But i guess it makes sense when you have Death Cab for Cutie and The Shins debuting atop the billboard charts.

Other stars featured in the current converse ads are Jona Bechtolt of YACHT, Kid Sister, Julian Casablancas (The Strokes), Frank Carter (Gallows), Sophie Kasakove from Care Bears on Fire, Morgan Quaintance of Does It Offend You, Yeah?, and Pharrell. In fact, Santogold, Pharrell and Casablancas worked together on a song for the campaign.
