San Francisco’s Fabric8

Last weekend I flew up to San Francisco and happened into Fabric8, a boutique that specializes in indie design. It’s been around online since 1995, and it’s now its a real-life store holding court in the city’s happening Mission district. Like a lot of shops in the area, it’s pretty teeny tiny, but the super-friendly owner Olivia Ongpin keeps it brimming with paintings, t-shirts, home design, bags, and jewelry from “urban independent designers.”

Fabric8’s collection of hangable art is pretty amazing–the store features local and artist like Ursula Young (who we actually bought a painting by), Brian Barnecio, GEM, Eli Maness, Reuben Rude, and lots more. Check out their gallery to see all the goods.
