If you’re freaked out about getting attacked and self-defense classes just aren’t doing the trick, try the No- Contact Jacket.  Taking the concept of the stun-gun to a new level, this jacket unleashes 80,000 low-amp volts of electricity on anyone who tries to fuck with you.

According to the No-Contact website:

If an assailant were to grab hold of the wearer the high voltage exterior would interrupt their neurological impulses which control voluntary muscle movement. The neuromuscular system would be overwhelmed causing disorientation and loss of balance to occur and of course pain.

Sounds fun. And I think I know some guys who would be into it, too.

The jacket was created by Adam Whiton and Anita Nugent in order to ” call attention to violence against women and to offer an alternative response to the body’s vulnerable space and boundaries that society, culture and fashion have created.”

I love it–it makes me feel all riot grrrl.
