We LOVE a Makeover: UK McDonald’s Gets New Threads

The only things grosser than most McDonald’s food (read Fast Food Nation if you don’t think McD’s is gross) are the uniforms.  But that red polyester nightmare is all over for employees who dish up Big Macs in the UK.

Designer Bruce Oldfield, one of Princess Diana’s favorite courtiers, who currently counts Sienna Miller among his clients, recently took on the task of revamping the old uniforms, and the less offensive results were unveiled yesterday in London.  Aw, the scarf is a nice touch!

The one controversy is that the new logo pattern looks like a Louis Vuitton rip-off, but who cares?  It’s not like anyone is going to mistake a McDonald’s uniform for an LV original.

For their part, McDonald’s says they did it to give their brand a modern twist and out of respect for the staff.  Let’s hope, for the sake of our own McDonald’s employees, that this trend comes to the States! But, then again, fast food workers get ZERO respect in this country, so….
