Topshop’s “Boho Tech”: Low on excitement, high on wearability

bohotech_coll_mainimg.jpg unveiled their Spring 08′ “Boho Tech” collection last week. It’s an easy (maybe too easy) mix of ethnic-inspired pieces with tailored supplements. I’ll admit, while I would wear these pieces together on a daily basis, I’m not sure if their combination is dynamic enough to market as a “collection” but, hey, it’s Topshop and with their prices I’m not complaining.

Both Vogue and Elle have highlighted the importance of Ikat prints for spring and Boho Tech is choc full of it and I’m pretty excited about the 2 jodphur options they’re offering since I’ve been waiting for these to make it to the mass market for cheap. They top off the collection with fitted military jackets, oxford heels and gladiator sandals.

Do you see my point now? It’s like everything the hipster girl already has in her closet, just jumbled into one “collection”. Underwhelming but comfortably acceptable, kinda like a Rum and Coke. Here are my Boho Tech styling picks:
